The Garmin eTrex handheld gps allows you to enable all or whichever Mapsource products you want and, should you not have Mapsource, then CityNavigator, which Garmin have updated with points of interest and new roadways, is an excellent alternative.
When not using the etrex on the road, you can disable the CitySelect and take full advantage of the Recreational Lakes software.
On purchase, the Legend Cx handheld GPS unit comes standard with a 32 MB microSD which can be upgraded to 1Gb!
You also get a USB interface cable, bike mount clip, MapSource Trip and Waypoint Manager CD-ROM, lanyard, quick start guide and a user manual in English.
Our opinion?
This is a definite must have, not only for the outdoors enthusiasts, but also for almost anyone.
People generally don’t need directions only when behind the wheel of a vehicle…but also when traipsing in the city or out in the country.
Whilst the screen is small, it has excellent high-resolution with 256-color transflective TFT screen that makes it ideal in the palm of your hand, on the dashboard of your off-roader or mounted on your bike!
You will also not be disappointed with the kaleidoscope of colors the garmin etrex handheld gps comes in!
